Unity in Diversity

A nation's culture resides in the heart and soul of its people. It signifies the warmth blended in our daily life. Celebrating your culture is a way to pay tribute to your ancestors. It is a window that allows you to bask in the glory of the nation's differences and similarities. It let's young people embrace their identity and values.

To celebrate the rich, colorful, vibrant culture of Pakistan, Cultural Day was celebrated in the Department of Chemical Engineering under the leadership of Prof Dr Saima Yasin, the first female chairperson of an engineering department at the university. 

Each session followed a different theme for the event: Sindhi, Mehndi, Punjabi, Yemeni... Foreign students took most advantage of this opportunity by showing off their traditions through their dresses and stalls displaying various items of their cultures and traditions. 

The students saved the day by capturing their photos on the photo booth. The day served as a fun activity along with being an ethnic event depicting unity in diversity.
