Important Meeting of UET Teaching Staff Association: Appreciation for Financial Grant and Leadership
The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Teaching Staff Association (TSA) held an important meeting chaired by Dr. Mohammad Shoaib, President of TSA. The meeting focused on the recent financial grant of one billion rupees provided to UET, for which the association extended their gratitude to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. During the meeting, Dr. Mohammad Shoaib, President of TSA, and Dr. Tanveer Qasim, General Secretary, praised the leadership and vision of Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir in steering the university out of a financial crisis.
"Dr. Shahid Munir’s efforts have been instrumental in overcoming the financial challenges faced by UET. His strategic leadership has paved the way for the university’s recovery," said Dr. Tanveer. The association also expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for including students from sessions prior to 2024 in the prestigious Honihar scholarships program. "We are thankful to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her continuous support and for considering students from previous sessions for the Honihar Scholarship Scheme,” said Dr. Shoaib.
General Secretary Dr. Tanveer Qasim emphasized, "Under the leadership of Dr. Shahid Munir, UET has managed to overcome its financial hurdles, and we are confident that, with his continued leadership, the university will achieve new heights of success and growth." The TSA officials also expressed their hope that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and her Higher Education Department team will continue to provide their support for UET’s future endeavors.
"Maryam Nawaz has proven to be a savior for higher education in the region, and the grant will bring much-needed stability to the engineering university," they added. The association acknowledged that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has ensured the welfare of UET in her constituency, demonstrating her commitment to the advancement of higher education in the province.
