UET Career Fair 2025, Over 100 Companies Set Up 180 Stalls
UET Focuses on Modern Knowledge to Meet Technological Demands, says Dr. Shahid Munir
Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir inaugurated Annual Job Fair 2025 at The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore. Over 100 companies participated, setting up 180 stalls. More than 50 companies conducted interviews for student recruitment, while 20 companies held job tests. Over 8,000 students attended the fair.
Speaking to the media, Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir stated that the purpose of this job fair is to bring together the educational and industrial sectors under one roof, providing students with job opportunities. He expressed pride in UET graduates, many of whom are employed in various firms across the country. He thanked the representatives of the companies attending the fair, whose participation created job opportunities for hundreds of fresh graduates.
Dr. Munir further emphasized that UET is focusing on modern disciplines to meet the evolving demands of the technology sector. Government organizations and other industries are also encouraging UET to fulfill the need for engineers. He praised the launch of the Chief Minister’s Honihar Scholarship Program, which is benefiting thousands of students. Additionally, he also expressed gratitude to the Punjab government for its support through the Laptop Scheme.
The interest shown by the students in the fair was commendable. Dr. Shahid Munir congratulated Dr. Naveed Ramzan, Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser, and their team for the successful organization of the event. The ceremony was attended by the Vice Chancellor, industrial representatives, Deans, faculty members, and a large number of students. At the end of the fair, a special ceremony was held to present commemorative shields to the company representatives and organizers.
