Vice Chancellor University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, met with the newly appointed Secretary of the Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab, Dr. Ghulam Fareed. During the meeting, Dr. Shahid Munir congratulated Dr. Ghulam Fareed on assuming his new responsibilities and expressed hope that the Higher Education Department would become more dynamic and effective under his leadership.

The two dignitaries held a detailed discussion on various key issues related to higher education. They also reviewed UET’s current performance and its roadmap for the future. Secretary HED Dr. Ghulam Fareed appreciated UET’s contributions in producing skilled engineers for the country’s development and assured full support for the promotion of higher education and research. Both officials also praised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s student-friendly initiatives, including the Merit-Based Honahar Scholarship and Laptop Schemes.
